"Jak Holbrook is a tremendous coach who is dedicated to the development of his athletes, both from a technical standpoint and in preparing them for the next level.  Jak worked tirelessly with my son over a two year period in high school to teach him the fine points of long snapping and continues to provide training and guidance at the college level. In addition, Jak provided very helpful advice and support during the recruiting process.  We feel extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Jak. LSU preferred walk-on Jake Davis long snaps for West Wood High school in Austin, Texas.

"Our son Jake was asked to long snap in 9th grade and was great at it. He earned a varsity position as a sophomore snapping for the Westwood Warriors (NW Austin). To stay at the top of his game and perfect his craft, we started working with Jak on a weekly basis. The training, coaching, advice and life lessons turned into a bond and friendship that will carry Jake through life and college as a long snapper. During Covid, we trained over video. Now Jak comes to our house (you can see videos here: https://twitter.com/jakedavis1113).

After every weekly lesson, Jak sends feedback on form and what he wants Jake to work on. Jak put us onto Kohl’s Snapping, where Jake ranks #28 in his class. Jak has come to watch Jake play and is the first person Jake contacts when he has good or bad news about what’s next for him with football. We can’t say enough about Jak and the support on and off the field he has given our son. He’s been a critical part of our football journey. "

"Jak has tremendously improved my technique and accuracy from where I was at before. It was a game changer in my consistency. He also not only taught me the physical side of long snapping but the mental side as well. I wouldn't have long snapped with a broken wrist if I didn't have Jak's teaching about form and trust in myself to not mess up. He also snapped with a broken bone as well when he was in high school showing the dedication he has to perfecting his craft."

Jak Holbrook has been an instrumental part of our son Matthew’s success as a long-snapper throughout high school. After suffering a serious back injury during his freshman year, Matthew was nearly sidelined from all sports. Determined to stay involved in football, he needed to find a position that would be safer for his back—and that’s when he decided to pursue long-snapping.
Starting from scratch as a sophomore, Matthew began learning the basics from a range of coaches. But it wasn’t until Matthew found Jak through online research that things really began to click. Jak worked closely with Matthew throughout his sophomore year, helping him build, refine, and master the fundamentals of long-snapping. Thanks to Jak’s coaching and mentorship, Matthew developed into a consistent and reliable snapper.
It was Jak who first asked if we had ever considered Matthew playing at the collegiate level. That question sparked a new level of focus and drive in Matthew, leading to a summer filled with successful camps and multiple offers for long-snapping at the next level. Matthew ultimately committed to Washington University in St. Louis—an incredible opportunity that simply wouldn’t have been possible without Jak’s guidance, coaching, and personal investment.
Jak didn’t just coach Matthew on the field; he also made himself available to us whenever we had questions about his development, recruiting, or the long-snapping journey in general. He was a constant source of support, sharing his own experiences and connecting us with valuable contacts in the recruiting world.
We are incredibly grateful for Jak— not just as a long-snapping coach, but as someone who truly cared about our son, took the time to get to know him, and was committed to helping him succeed. His impact on Matthew’s journey has been immeasurable.
- Michael Lee, Father of Matthew Lee
