Coach Holbrook was the starting center and Long Snapper at McCallum high school in Austin, Texas. After graduating high school in 2014 Coach Holbrook received a preferred walk-on at The University of Texas at Austin.
Coach Holbrook was the starting Long Snapper for three seasons, from 2016-2018. Coach Holbrook snapped in 39 games, a Big 12 Championship, a Texas Bowl championship, and a Sugar Bowl championship. Coach Holbrook snapped to Michael Dickson the 2017 Ray Guy (#1 punter in the nation) award winner and Texas Bowl MVP, a game winning field goal against the Baylor Bears during the 2016 season, and in front of two of the largest crowds ever recorded at Darrel K. Royal Memorial stadium.
After Coach Holbrook's playing career ended, he has dedicated himself to helping long snappers in Texas, and across the nation improve on their skills and move on to the next level.
In person Coach Holbrook will break down your snap to the basic fundamentals and reteach proper stance and mechanics to ensure you have a crisp, repeatable snap. You will be taught unique drills and practice regiments that Coach Holbrook used during his time at The University of Texas to help you achieve correct form. Coach Holbrook will also take you through different snapping practices that he utilized to help create muscle memory and ensure you snap a perfect ball every time! If you choose to do virtual lesson great! Everything described above will be the same. Snappers will video call Coach Holbrook and go through the same practices virtually. Coach Holbrook and the snapper will share film to ensure you are practicing the form correctly.
